Irish Grand Prix - Saorstat Cup, July 5, 1931

This race lasts for two days, and July 5 saw cars up to 1,500 cc capacity compete over the 4 ¼ miles course in Phoenix Park, Dublin. M.G. Midgets took the first three places, the winner being Norman Black who averaged 64.76 m.p.h., R. T. Horton came into second place at a mile slower speed, and A.T.G. Gardner finished third ten seconds later. Rain swamped the course, and towards the finish one corner was under water. Twenty-nine cars entered and fifteen finished the slowest being only six miles an hour behind the winner.
